Performance Improvement and Reliability of a Bidirectional DC-DC Converter

Abstract
In this paper a bidirectional converter operating in buck and boost modes of operation is observed for various operating conditions. It consists of power switches and coupled inductor with same number of turns in the primary and secondary windings. From the simulation and experimental results it is observed that this configuration has higher efficiency at high power gain level when compared with conventional bidirectional buck/boost converter and also its reliability for various operating conditions is presented.
