Editorial
Volume 15, number 1 (of four in 2015) is here with another load of 50 papers (sent for publication between March and September 2014).
We should notice that over the last years, the quality of papers increased to the point that now we started, with this issue, sending hard copies dedicated to ISI for assessment hoping for the best.
In the meantime, we have to recognize that we still have thinks to improve. Here are a few examples:
- Too many authors still produce papers without experiments;
- Quite a few authors still conceive papers with limited theoretical original contributions;
- Many papers proposals do not contain a thorough documentation of their originality claims by comprehending enough digital simulations and experiments;
- The literature cited needs to be far more representative;
- Some authors who are asked to bring changes fail to do so even after one year when they are automatically rejected. To avoid, further problems with this respect we have decided to reduce the time to bring changes to articles slated for revision to maximum 60 days. We kindly ask the associate editors and the potential authors to observe this new limitation.
In the end, we thank the associated editors for their input to the reviewing process, but urge them to act more swiftly in the process, so that the backlog of papers could be further reduced.
Sincerely,
Ion Boldea - IEEE Life Fellow
